We built our own quality kiln, this  allows us to bake and kiln-dry our logs in-house. We are not, therefore, reliant on external suppliers to supply the logs to us. Plus, it also allows us to ensure that the quality of the logs is kept extremely high. We can therefore deliver top-quality logs, as often as you would like.

How do you ensure the quality of your firewood is kept high?

If a batch of firewood hasn’t been dried sufficiently, so theres too much moisture still within the logs, we put them back into the kiln for a bit longer baking. We load all of the logs back into the kiln, using our Toyota fork-lift, and make the logs for many hours longer, until they are dry enough to take to the customer.

Have you been producing firewood for a long time?

Yes, we now have many years of experience in drying logs and supplying high-quality logs. We provide high-quality kiln-dried logs, and every month we kiln dry a massive amount of logs. This is why many businesses purchase the logs from us: they will know they are a consistently high-quality product that’s delivered by us.

But also, at our warehouse, we always have a huge quantity of logs ready to be sold. So businesses, such as pubs, hotels and restaurants call us, because we often have firewood when other companies have already sold out. For example during the really cold weeks of December, some companies will have sold out, but our company often has a lot still in stock. That’s because we are busy drying and storing our logs in our warehouse all year around.

Low-quality firewood / wet wood can be very frustrating for the customer; the reason for this is it can be challenging to ignite. It can then be very smoky when it is buring as well, producing huge amounts of soot. This is not suitable for residential customers but especially not for businesses.
