Introduction

Many of our customers now tell us, that they have made the switch from using their central heating system as the main way of heating their home, to now using kiln-dried firewood, that is supplied by our company.

Because our customers are now using an increased amount of firewood, often they don’t want to e-mail or call every time that they need their log store needs to be replenished with our logs.

Therefore, many customers are now arranging with us, to have their firewood delivered to their house once a month.

Some of our customers, will want firewood delivered on a more regular basis, we can therefore deliver once a week if the customer would like.

For some homes, throughout say the Vale of Glamorgan, the customer might have a very large detached home, and as you can imagine, to heat such a property would often require a lot of firewood, this is where we can help.

We have our own kiln

Here in Wales we have built our own kiln, this means that we can take logs, and dry them through what called a kiln drying process. The kiln that we have is very large, which means that every day we are drying vast amounts of logs, we therefore supply many businesses and homes across Cardiff and further afield. We regularly make deliveries to Newport, vale of Glamorgan and the valleys, such as in Aberdare for example.

Tipper vans

A lot of our customers tell us that they no longer want to purchase firewood from say a local store, instead they often want to buy logs in a much larger quantity, this is where our company can help.

Where the customer may have been buying net bags, they may now want to purchase a larger amount of firewood, that’s loose. This is exactly what our business can offer, we can deliver the firewood to you. The firewood can be tipped loose onto your driveway.

Competitive prices

All of our firewood is kiln-dried, which simply means that the wood is ready to burn. This is quite different from some other suppliers, which might sell you, what is called wet wood.

Wet wood is often sold cheaper, but the customer will then need to season the logs at home, depending on the type of wood it is, will determine how long it needs to be dried.

However, if you do buy wet wood, what you have to know is, that it can take sometimes a very long time to dry, and also, during that period, it can take up a lot of space in your garden.

So if you don’t want to wait for the logs to season, you buy firewood from us that ready to burn straightaway.

What you also have to know about purchasing wet wood is, if it’s burnt prior to it being seasoned, then it can damage your chimney and also your stove.

The main reason for this is, it can produce excessive soot, which can damage your chimney.

Buy quality, why not purchase your firewood from us, we deliver right across south-Wales, plus a lot of our customers ask us to deliver on a repeat basis, so that they have a constant supply of quality logs.

Introduction

Many of our customers tell us that before they made a purchase from us, they were driving regularly to a local shop to pick up firewood as regularly as each week. This can take up your time, not to mention the fuel needed for your car, to buy that firewood on a regular basis- so why not let us deliver to you instead?

We have delivery vans, which car deliver logs to you anywhere in South Wales.

Quality every time

Our customers want quality, and that’s exactly what we deliver to you, we can be 100 % confident that every time we make a delivery of our kiln-dried firewood, that’s it’s a quality product, that’s going to burn and produce a nice heat.

We can be so confident that we are supplying a quality product simply because, we own our own kiln in Newport, meaning that we can take wet wood, and we can put it through our dryer, which means that each and every batch of our logs is always kiln dried.

So why shouldn’t we burn wet wood?

Well quite simply its really important that you buy seasoned or kiln-dried wood instead, simply because, if you were to burn what’s referred to as “wet wood”, well, that can cause large amounts of soot / ash to build up in the wood burning stove itself, causing damage to your wood burner, plus also causing the chimney / flu to become damaged as well.

That’s why you should never purchase wet wood for burning in your home, as it often produces a very dull burn, and can cause a lot of damage to your wood burner.

Also the excessive smoke, coming out of your chimney well, that might annoy the neighbours as well.

So how do you avoid buying wet wood?

Well, you need to buy quality seasoned logs, or firewood that’s been kiln-dried.

All of our firewood is kiln-dried, and then before we deliver it, we check the moisture levels on our metres.

If the logs are not dry enough, then they will go back in the kiln for a longer period, this is why when you buy our firewood from us, you can be rest assured that your buying a top quality product.
