How are the logs delivered, for example how are the logs off-loaded?

Here at Forestry Firewood Limited, we can deliver a large quantity of logs in one go using our Ford Transit tippers. This makes it a piece of cake to get quality firewood delivered, as we can tip the logs on to say a driveway, in a rear lane, or even at the front of your garage.

 Therefore, we often deliver our firewood via our own tipper van, if you want to collect from us instead, we still offer to pick up the logs loose, or to purchase from us via our net bags.

How do we know we are purchasing quality firewood?

We often see a lot of repeat business here in Newport, simply because the quality of our logs is are very high quality. For example, on each batch of wood that dry in our own kiln, our manager will use a “moisture meter” to test different logs after they have been dried, this is to ensure that all of the logs that we deliver have a low moisture content therefore ready to burn.

Beware of purchasing “wet wood” as this wood will not be dried or seasoned, therefore its not ready to burn. This is what makes our logs high-quality, simply because you haven’t got to go through all the hassle of drying the logs yourself, we do all of that work for you, by using our very own biomass boiler that we have in Newport.

Are you able to deliver a large amount of logs / kiln-dried firewood all in one go?

Yes, where some companies have a small van and only deliver bags of logs in net bags, we have tipper vehicle instead, we therefore use our Ford Transit tippers to deliver a large quantity of our firewood here in South Wales.
